PRESSD Spotlight of the Week: 9ina

Originally, rap music was a male-dominated genre leaving little room for women to display their talents in one of the world’s most popular industries. Those times are long gone now. There is currently a renaissance of female talent occurring within the hip-hop communities, and artists like 9ina are making it impossible for people to ignore.

Rapping out of Columbus, Ohio, 9ina has proven that she can hang with the best of them. Gritty, raw, and unapologetic, the artist makes it known that she is coming for anyone and everyone.

Featured tracks like “Hol Up” and “Heavy Steppers (Remix)” with fellow Columbus artist, Bidney Blood, are both defining examples of how aggressive and demanding 9ina is on every track. 9ina packs a punch every time she hops on a beat leaving little room for anyone to negate her talent.

For only having one official song on Spotify to date, 9ina is making significant waves with only a small body of work, which creates even more demand for music from the next artist produced from the female renaissance.
