VON GRAVES HORROR-COMEDY “HEATHENS” A MUSIC MOVIE OUT NOW

Von Graves releases the first episode “HEATHENS,” a horror-comedy, music film featuring Nasty V from his sophomore album Heaven In Earthly Places, out now. With cinematic appeal and surprising, dope acting talent, the pair have literally changed “music videos.”

“HEATHENS” the music-movie, directed by Will Fairbanks, is the prequel to a series of unreleased episodes that tell the story of Heaven In Earthly Places. The screenplay was written by the artist himself and prides himself on the finished project.

I had a really fun time writing this first episode. My main goal for Heaven In Earthly Places and for this prequel, “HEATHENS,” is to captivate the audience with something left field. I hope that whatever they thought it was going to be- it exceeds that and it’s opposite! Will helped bring my vision to life, and I’m so excited for this to take off.

DID VON GRAVES KILL SOMEONE?

The visual has a comedic and creepy vibe as we see Von Graves being followed by a man named Eve that seems to appear and disappear throughout it. Eve, played by Nasty V, taunts the “HEATHENS” rapper to do things he wouldn’t normally do.

What I wanted was to portray my interpretation of the album, as if I didn’t write it. All of Jordan Peele’s movies have inspired my screenwriting for this project and it’s not done! This is one of many and I want to push the boundaries. “HEATHENS” is dope, and probably my favorite project to date. I’m quiet but I’m an assassin, like Kawhi Leanord! Von laughs, I’m really hopeful to collaborate with so many more writers on this.

Heaven In Earthly Places, the album, is intentional about the good and bad parts of our journey’s through life. Creatively, Von Graves starts and ends the album in heavenly places and leaves the gritty parts for the middle, which includes track #6 “HEATHENS.” The album is intended to be able to play the album 1-10 or in reverse starting with track 10, and still end up in the same place.
